Born in 1961, Abitur in 1981, graduated from University 1990 at the University of Munich with diploma in machine engineering and in process engineering.

Process engineer at Uhde GmbH (Dortmund, Germany) until 1998 (Environmental engineering, refinery engineering, chemical plants engineering, commissioning and start-up of chemical plants worldwide).

1999 to 2006 patent engineer in the legal department of the Uhde GmbH,  avocational education as „European Patent Attorney“ (approval 2004) and as German Patent Attorney (approval 2006).

2007 to 2013 Head of the Intellectual Property Department of the ThyssenKrupp Uhde GmbH (installation of an internationally orientated patent department with emphasis on business aspects, transfer of the department into the mother company ThyssenKrupp AG).

Parallel avocationally: 2007 bis 2011 patent attorney in the law firm Apel Höch and later in the law firm Buse Heberer Fromm.

2012 to 2013 Avocationally independent patent attorney.

Since 2014: Independent patent attorney as main business.
